Appeal following reported attempted robbery in Bournemouth |

Officers investigating a reported attempted robbery in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It was reported that at around 9am on Sunday 11 January 2026 in Hinton Road, a man was approached by a group of men who were not known to him.
It is alleged that the men demanded cash from the victim, with one of them punching him and pulling out a knife to threaten him.
No serious injuries were reported and no cash was taken.
Following fast time enquiries, officers have arrested a 19-year-old man from Bournemouth on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on police bail and an investigation is ongoing.
Detective Constable Chelsie Reilly, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This must have been a terrifying ordeal for the victim and we have been exploring all lines of enquiry to identify those involved.
“I am keen to hear from any witnesses, as well as anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area on the morning of Sunday 11 January 2026.”
